‘No Woman Is The Sea’ — the debut international release from Salt Lake City’s melancholy indie-folk artist Josaleigh Pollett.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Sharon Van Etten, Jason Molina and Heather Woods Broderick, Pollett has crafted a collection of deeply-introspective songs which grow with every listen. With an unflinching examination of heartbreak and grief, Pollett refers to this album as their ‘divorce record’, forged from the aftermath of a marriage breakdown that looms over every note of this powerful, personal record.

From a young age, Josaleigh has developed a desire to create a uniquely intimate brand of folk, earning early praise and a passionate fan base via local Utah record store label; Lavender Vinyl.

Originally released amid the turmoil of March 2020, the initial run of 300x 2LPs sold out lightning quick. Now, with this new reissue from Brighton, UK based label Cupboard Music ‘No Woman Is The Sea’ is finally available internationally in physical format.
