Tiptoed together in response to the overloaded modern and digital age, The Magic Mountain LP is a meditative step away from day-to-day living.

Taking cues from Thomas Mann’s 'bildungsroman' novel of the same name, Chris Mitchell (vocals, guitar) drafted the ideas following a series of trips to the Alps, and was also inspired by a soundtrack of symphonies shared by collaborator John Guzek (bass).

Having honed the material as a group with Jon Wood (of Lower Slaughter, drums) and Luke Dunstan (Blue Spectre/ex-Jungfrau, guitar) over the course of the Covid-19 pandemic, The Magic Mountain LP continues where the magical realism of the novel leaves off; exploring time as a central theme, and offering an imaginative escape inviting the listener out on an adventure to the higher altitudes, and sense of timelessness, it was informed by.
